Train Travel
The nearest train station to Maidenfields is Sudbury station which is part of a small length of rail line named the Gainsborough Line, after the famous painter Thomas Gainsborough. It will take roughly 43-minutes to walk to or 13-minutes to cycle to from Maidenfields’.
If you do choose to cycle this part of your journey, there are 30 cycle spaces to store your bike whilst you travel by rail. Additionally, you can take your bicycle with you on some trains; this might require pre-booking, so make sure you check the details on Greater Anglia before setting off!
Sudbury Station is a hidden away commuter town; it has no direct links to larger towns or cities but connects to Marks Tey station which provides routes, to places such as London Liverpool Street, Ipswich, and Colchester.
Services from Sudbury to Marks Tey run every hour, the journey time is roughly 19 minutes.
