Community Travel
Across Suffolk, there are a selection of different incentives to promote travelling by public transport. This section is to provide further information to assist your queries regarding concessionary travel.
For those that may require a little extra assistance in using public transport, Suffolk County Council provides the ‘Suffolk Coastal Connecting Communities’ service. This helps residents with disabilities get to medical appointments, shops, and even well-being or social activities.
To use the services, you need to book at least 3 working days prior by calling: 01728 635938. Find out more information on the service through the ‘Suffolk Coastal Connecting Communities website’

Travel Voucher Scheme
There are a number of people who can’t access the benefits of free travel on conventional bus services like other residents who qualify for and use a bus pass do.
The council therefore offers a benefit to those persons in the form of travel vouchers that can be used towards the use of community transport, taxis or private hire vehicles.
The value of the vouchers issued is £100 per annum.
